Nimesulide, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, Cetirizine Dihydrochloride, and Caffeine Tablets are available with the brand “NIMUKALT” and are a combination medication to treat common cold symptoms like fever and body ache. The common cold is an upper respiratory tract condition of the nose and throat. It is caused most often by one kind of virus, i.e., rhinovirus. The symptoms are stuffy nose or runny nose, soreness in the throat, cough, congestion, mild bodyache or mild headache, sneezing, low fever, and feeling unwell.
Nimesulide, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, Cetirizine Dihydrochloride, and Caffeine Tablets contain caffeine, cetirizine, nimesulide, and phenylephrine. Cetirizine blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Phenylephrine narrows the blood vessels; this helps in providing relief from congestion. Nimesulide helps relieve pain. Caffeine decreases the sleepiness caused by cetirizine. Together, Nimesulide+cetirizine Dihydrochloride+phenylephrine Hydrochloride+caffeine helps in treating the symptoms of the common cold.
