Acebrophylline (Sr) + Fexofenadine Hydrochloride + Montelukast Tablets can be marketed under the brand name “FAXIGO-3D” and is prescribed to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergy like sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion, stuffiness in the nose, or watery eyes. Asthma is an ongoing (chronic) disease of the respiratory system where airways become narrower, swell, and produce excessive mucus, causing shortness of breath. An allergy is a state where the immune system responds to a foreign object, which is usually harmless to your body. Such foreign objects are referred to as ‘allergens.’
Acebrophylline (Sr) + Fexofenadine Hydrochloride + Montelukast Tablets is a combination of three medications: Acebrophylline (mucolytic), Montelukast (leukotriene receptor antagonist), and Fexofenadine hydrochloride (antihistamine). Acebrophylline is a mucolytic (cough/sputum thinner) agent which thins and loosens phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Montelukast inhibits the action of chemicals known as leukotrienes released from the lungs, leading to inflammation (swelling) and excess mucus production in airways. Reduces inflammation, mucus production, and airway narrowing. Fexofenadine hydrochloride is an antihistamine (anti-allergic medicine) that acts by inhibiting the action of histamine, a chemical that causes allergic symptoms.
